Domain Join Greyed Out

I ask because a domain when used as something a windows computer join is referring to a windows active directory domain. These can only be created in a windows server os. Join a domain using command prompt type cmd in the search bar.
It has windows xp pro. I have a computer that came from a different domain i m wanting to take it out of that domain and connect it to our domain. If the join a domain option is missing on you windows 10 computer fix it by joining domain from this pc properties or use command prompt.
Right click on command prompt and select run as administrator. Experts with gold status have received one of our highest level. The default configuration cannot join a domain and has the network id greyed out.
Also when you look at the system properties dialogue box right click properties my computer there is no domain already shown there that might have been automatically joined during install with a script. I am trying to join a domain and both the workgroup. Fyi microsoft didn t invent domains they existed well before ms.
