Windows 10 Join Domain Not Found
If i try to map a network drive or add a network location i get windows can t communicate with the device or resource.

I have seen this post and have downloaded the connector and have not been able to get it to connect either. I reinstalled and restarted on the advuce of microsoft but no change. But again both the connector and manually adding the domain work on non windows 10 machines.

I am trying to install a new windows 10 pro computer on an existing local domain network. Open network and sharing center. The option is worded differently on windows 10.
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. When i try to join the domain i get a message the domain couldn t be found. The network has about 12 to 14 windows 7 computers with no problems.
Join domain option missing i have upgraded to windows 10 pro so i can join my university domain but the join domain button is not there on the settings about screen. Check the domain name and try again. If the join a domain option is missing on you windows 10 computer fix it by joining domain from this pc properties or use command prompt.
